Pulltex has created an original sabre, specially designed for these occasions. This tradition dates back to Napoleon and more specifically to the Hussars military corps, who celebrated their victories by sabring champagne bottles.
Instructions for use
Stand well away from your guests and, after removing the wire cage, slide the sabre firmly along the bottle's seam (the joint line), striking a sharp blow at the base of the neck to sever it without shattering the glass. Caution: the neck of the bottle breaks off and flies away with the cork at a speed of about 200 km/h and can travel a distance of at least 15 metres.
Children are not permitted to sabre champagne.
