The rack-and-pinion mechanism of the Brucart corkscrew is a very ingenious and original system.
It extracts the cork effortlessly, and its graduated scale prevents piercing the cork. Instructions: remove the capsule using the built-in knife. Position the corkscrew on the neck of the bottle while applying downward pressure. Turn the corkscrew to drive the worm down until it stops. Unclip the lever and operate the rack.
