Alsace is historically the home of Riesling and Gewurztraminer, yet some estates there make a remarkable Sauvignon Blanc — vivid, aromatic and mineral. Rounder than Sancerre, more aromatic than white Bordeaux, it shows grapefruit, passion fruit, boxwood and white flowers.
A narrow tulip glass channels those precise aromas and keeps the acidity firm. Serve chilled (8–10°C), ideal with seafood, sushi or fresh goat cheese. A lesser-known Alsatian expression, well worth discovering.
