Made to serve both a taut, mineral Chablis and a richer Chardonnay — southern Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Sonoma, Margaret River — the Chardonnay-Chablis glass is a smart compromise. A moderately broad bowl and a slightly narrowed rim show minerality as well as oak, acidity as well as weight.
Versatile without being generic, it suits every dry Chardonnay style, from the most austere to the most opulent. Serve chilled (10–13°C, depending on the wine).
