The Oaked Chardonnay glass is perfect for revealing the intensity of full-bodied white wines, including the wine’s multi-layered aromas.
The RIEDEL Superleggero is a masterpiece of cutting-edge technology. The collection features the largest, finest and lightest glasses, with the widest base diameter, ever produced by machine. Perfectly balanced, they have the look and feel of a hand-made glass. Each glass carries, at the centre of its base, a grape-specific code for identification.
Made to serve both a taut, mineral Chablis and a richer Chardonnay — southern Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Sonoma, Margaret River — the Chardonnay-Chablis glass is a smart compromise. A moderately broad bowl and a slightly narrowed rim show minerality as well as oak, acidity as well as weight.
Versatile without being generic, it suits every dry Chardonnay style, from the most austere to the most opulent. Serve chilled (10–13°C, depending on the wine).
The lightest hand-blown glasses in the world
Superleggero reaches extreme thinness — sometimes less than a millimetre — while remaining resilient. Hand-blown by Riedel artisans, they are the ultimate glasses for the most subtle nuances.
The Austrian art of the wine glass since 1756.
Riedel is the Austrian house that revolutionized modern wine service by creating the first grape-specific glass. Each shape is designed to direct the wine to the optimal zone of the tongue and release the bouquet of that style.
