The Fontenille Pataud set of two Laguiole olivewood table knives combines the luminous grain of a first-choice Mediterranean wood with the precision of forged steel and the excellence of French cutlery craftsmanship.
Entirely handcrafted in Thiers, the historic heart of French cutlery making, this set of two Laguiole olivewood table knives brings warmth and authenticity to the table. Every knife is conceived as a durable, balanced and elegant object, equally suited to everyday dining and memorable occasions.
The contoured handles are crafted from first-choice olivewood with a thickness of 7 mm. Their golden tones and contrasting grain create a different natural pattern on every piece. An inlaid traditional shepherd’s cross completes the handle with an emblematic detail from the Laguiole tradition.
Each knife is forged from a single piece of Z40C13 stainless steel to provide strength, balance and precision. The decorated spine highlights the artisanal work performed in the Fontenille Pataud workshops, while the generously contoured handle provides a comfortable grip.
Traditional sharpening provides a precise and long-lasting cutting edge. Measuring 23 cm and weighing approximately 90 g individually, each knife has a remarkable presence at the table while remaining comfortable to use.
Presented in a French-made lacquered wooden case, this set is a refined choice for entertaining, enriching a collection or offering a lasting gift. The natural beauty of olivewood and the quality of French craftsmanship make every knife a piece designed to stand the test of time.
